The beer is brewed with malted barley from Lithuania, water drawn from artesian wells at the brewery, and Saaz hops from the ancient city of Žatec (German: Saaz) in the Czech Republic. Hops have been produced here for more than seven centuries.

曾獲得芝加哥舉行的世界啤酒錦標賽銀牌， Viru 更在啤酒種類中取得屬傑出的認可的86分高分（強烈推薦）。
